“AAA commends Chairman Mica for his leadership in introducing a surface transportation authorization proposal today.  We are encouraged that House Republican leadership has finally allowed the Chairman to proceed with this important national priority.

We look forward to reviewing Chairman Mica’s bill in the context of AAA’s surface transportation authorization policy and funding recommendations.  While we may find some issues in the 800-plus page bill upon which we differ, it is important to keep the process moving.  This legislation is almost three years overdue and progress must continue in the House and Senate in order to get a final bill.”
