WASHINGTON, DC (June 29, 2023) – The AAA Five Diamonds list has two new additions this month: The Maybourne Beverly Hills in California and Cara in Newport, Rhode Island. The Maybourne Beverly Hills offers superior service, stylish rooms and suites, stunning rooftop pool views, and pet-friendly amenities. Cara – located in The Chanler hotel – offers contemporary blind-tasting menus for a dynamic dining experience, surrounded by panoramic ocean views.
More than a dozen hotels and restaurants also joined the Four Diamonds list this month, including Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu, Hawaii – a recently renovated oceanfront property with activities ranging from snorkeling and surfing to golfing and horseback riding.
AAA Diamond lists are updated monthly, as inspectors visit hotels and restaurants throughout the year.

The 4Cs of AAA Diamonds
Cleanliness: AAA hotel inspections include ATP surface testing, the same technology used to verify cleanliness in the healthcare and food service industries.
Comfort: Inspectors evaluate a property’s quality of experience, range of amenities, and level of hospitality.
Cuisine: Diamond restaurants are assessed on their food, service, and vibe. Inspectors dine at these properties anonymously.
Consistency: AAA Diamond properties – no matter the designation – have one thing in common: consistency. Unlike subjective star reviews, Diamond inspections rely on published guidelines based on industry standards.
