Managing Director, AAA Public Relations
Expertise: Crisis Communications, International Media & Club Relations

Shaping the organization’s national public relations and strategic communications efforts, Yolanda oversees public relations offices in Washington, D.C., and Orlando, Fla. She is responsible for managing all aspects of communicating public policy and national business line activities to the public and media. One of the highlights of Yolanda’ career thus far with AAA has been interviewing President Obama March 21, 2012, “President Obama Talks Gas Prices One-On-One with AAA.” Prior to joining AAA, Yolanda served as the chief spokesperson and director of Strategic Communications and Public Affairs for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) under the Department of Homeland Security. In her role, Yolanda was responsible for managing internal and external communications, and the TSA website. Previous to her federal service, she served as deputy director of public relations for the world’s busiest airport: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. In 2002, she was voted one of Georgia’s 100 most powerful and influential women and in 2007 was featured in Black Enterprise Magazine’s “On the Move” feature for highly visible professionals. Yolanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism from Florida A&M University and is a native of South Florida.

Michael Green

Director, AAA Public Relations
Expertise: Advocacy, Traffic Safety & Gas Prices

Michael manages media relations for AAA’s public affairs team in Washington, D.C. on issues such as gas prices, federal transportation policy and traffic safety. Michael joined AAA in 2012 after supporting energy and transportation advocacy campaigns for clients such as the Air Transport Association, the Dow Chemical Company and ATR Turboprops. Michael previously worked on Capitol Hill as both a press secretary and legislative analyst for Rep. John Culberson (TX-07), and worked for the majority staff of the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce. Michael also served as an English teacher for the U.S. Peace Corps in a village near Kherson, Ukraine. Michael earned a master’s degree in communication from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in history from Wake Forest University.

Brian Martin

Director, AAA Public Relations
Expertise: Travel, Publishing, Automotive and Safety

Brian directs the public relations efforts for AAA’s national office in Heathrow in the areas of travel, publishing, automotive and safety. Prior to joining AAA in 2015, Brian oversaw corporate communications for Visit Orlando; the largest destination marketing organization in the world. He has a diverse background in communications with more than a decade in television and radio and more than a decade in public relations. Prior to joining Visit Orlando, he was managing director of the Orlando office of Wragg & Casas Public Relations, a statewide public relations firm headquartered in Miami. In his broadcasting career, he has worked for nationally recognized companies like NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, ESPN, Harpo Productions, and TNT. He has covered numerous national stories including the 2000 Presidential Election dispute, the Valujet Crash, NASA Space Shuttle launches, the World Series, the Super Bowl and numerous hurricanes. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin – Superior.

Erin Stepp

Manager, AAA Public Relations
Expertise: Automotive

Erin manages AAA’s Automotive campaigns, including automotive engineering and testing, driver education and vehicle repair. Erin joined the AAA National public relations team in early 2011, bringing her experience as an Assistant Account Executive for St. John Partners Advertising and Public Relations in Jacksonville, FL were she was responsible for coordinating all advertising efforts for the firm’s major automotive client. Prior to that, she served as the Advertising and Promotion Coordinator for the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens where she coordinated all advertising campaigns, managed the redesign of the Zoo’s advertising agency and worked closely on rebranding efforts for the attraction. Erin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and tweets daily for AAA at She is based in Heathrow, FL.


Julie HallJulie Hall, APR

Manager, AAA Public Relations
Expertise: Travel and Publishing

Julie provides media relations for AAA’s publishing programs such as the AAA Diamond Ratings, TripTik Travel Planner, and other mapping and guidebook products. Julie also manages publicity for AAA Vacations and other AAA Travel services. Julie joined the AAA public relations team in September 2014, bringing with her experience as a communications strategist for Curley & Pynn in Maitland, Fla., where she managed public relations programs for clients in the travel, higher education, professional services, energy and economic development industries. She is Accredited in Public Relations and serves on the Florida Public Relations Association Orlando Area Chapter board of directors. Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising/Public Relations with minors in Marketing and Sociology from the University of Central Florida. She tweets for AAA at and is based in Heathrow, Fla.

Coordinator, AAA Public Relations
Expertise: Media Measurement

Ellen Edmonds joined AAA’s Public Relations team in 2013 as PR coordinator, focusing on media measurement and the coordination of strategic visibility projects. Ellen brings with her 8 years of experience working in sales and marketing in a variety of fields. In her most recent role at Holland Financial in Ormond Beach, Florida, Ellen was responsible for building and expanding brand awareness, coordinating all of the day-to-day marketing efforts for the company and developing and producing a daily radio show as well as a 17-episode educational television series. Ellen holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and is based in the Heathrow office.
