    Ellen Edmonds

    Director, External Communications

    Ellen Edmonds leads the national external communications team, guiding the overall vision and strategy for the organization. She brings over two decades of sales, marketing, and communications experience to the role. She is passionate about telling AAA’s story to various audiences, showcasing all the organization has to offer within the automotive, travel, traffic safety, and advocacy space.

    Before joining the AAA in 2013, Ellen was responsible for expanding brand awareness, coordinating day-to-day marketing efforts, and producing a daily radio show for a boutique local financial planner. She also did similar work in other fields, including real estate and new home construction.

    Ellen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Central Florida with a Master’s degree in Mass Communication with a specialization in Public Relations from the University of Florida. In her free time, Ellen enjoys cooking, spending time with her family (which includes three cats), and binging some of her favorite reality shows. Ellen is based in Heathrow, FL.

    Brittany Moye

    Public Relations & Content Manager

    Brittany Moye is the Public Relations & Content Manager at AAA. In her role, she oversees external communications, from media relations to social media to content creation. She has a knack for distilling complex topics into easily digestible content and is known for her ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

    Brittany joined AAA in June 2022 after spending most of her career in the public relations industry. There she gained experience in content creation, media relations, and organizational leadership.

    Outside the office, Brittany has a passion for creating music and cooking food. Vegetarian for 10 years, she loves nothing more than finding new ways to make her dishes delicious. She's traveled to many bucket list destinations, but Thailand is at the top of her list.     Media Relations Manager

    Aixa Diaz manages media relations and serves as spokesperson for AAA. From fielding media requests about gas prices and travel trends, to sharing life-saving information about traffic safety, Aixa and the AAA Public Relations team inform the public on all the ways AAA promotes security and peace of mind.

    Aixa joined AAA in August 2022 after a 20-year career as a news anchor and reporter. In her two decades on television, she covered local, national, and international stories for Hearst Television newsrooms in Plattsburgh, NY, Winston-Salem, NC, Orlando, FL, and Washington, DC.

    Aixa earned a B.A. in Communication from NC State University and an M.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University. Originally from Puerto Rico, Aixa lives in Washington, DC with her husband and daughter. In her free time, Aixa loves going on family getaways and girls trips, pairing delicious food with great wine, reading memoirs and essays, and looking for treasures at her nearest Marshalls!     Kellan Howell

    Media Relations Manager

    Kellan Howell serves as a media relations manager and spokesperson for AAA. In her role, she fields requests from news outlets and helps to promote AAA’s outstanding research and advocacy on traffic safety.

    Before joining AAA in April of 2025, Kellan spent over a decade as a reporter and producer covering national politics in Washington, D.C. As a White House correspondent, Kellan developed a keen ability to break down complicated policy issues for her viewers on topics like health care, trade, immigration, and much more. She has covered numerous live and breaking news events and interviewed dozens of administration officials and lawmakers.

    Kellan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and international relations from James Madison University. As the daughter of a retired Air Force Colonel, she has lived all over the world and loves to travel. In her free time, Kellan enjoys exploring new restaurants, hunting for treasures at local thrift stores, spending time with her family, and binge-watching her favorite TV shows.
